Sound Cues

Three men work in the tech booth as a play is being performed: the soundboard operator, the stage manager, and an intern.

They look over the audience where "the play" is taking place before them.

All three have strong feelings about the play and especially the lead actress.

When the sound equipment breaks during the show, they are forced to create the sound effects themselves. They manage to pull off many of the sounds, including several animals, but when the lead actor storms off, they must take center stage.

Inspired by working many hours in a sound booth.

--It was first produced in Serbia (as Efekti) on March 4, 2009 at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad with Plus Teatre producing and Strahinja Bojovic directing.
