Laughter

In 1978, a few months after Charlie Chaplin was buried in Switzerland his body was stolen and held for ransom by two Eastern European refugees. The plan was a disaster and they even went on to lose the body for a time after the family refused to pay to have it returned. This play imagines that event with a vaudevillian bent and tragic twist.
